Redirect after submit | Forms Help
Send respondents to a custom URL after they successfully submit your form. Available on Starter plan and above.
How to configure
- Open your form in the builder
- Go to the Settings tab
- Enter a full URL (starting with
https://) in the Redirect URL field - The setting saves automatically. No save button needed
If the redirect URL is left blank, respondents see the success message permanently (the default behavior).
How it works
After a successful submission:
- The form shows your success message briefly (about 1.5 seconds)
- The browser navigates to your redirect URL
The success message text is still visible momentarily even when a redirect is configured, so respondents know their submission was received.
Plan gate
Free plan users see a locked placeholder in the Settings tab. Upgrade to Starter or above to unlock redirects.
Behavior in embeds
When a form is embedded on your website, the redirect navigates the full browser window: not just the iframe. This takes the visitor to your redirect URL in the main tab.
If you want embedded forms to stay in place after submission (showing only the success message), leave the redirect URL blank.
Common use cases
- Thank-you page: redirect to a branded confirmation page on your website
- Booking flow: send respondents to a Calendly or Cal.com link to schedule a follow-up
- Next step: redirect to another form, a download page, or a getting-started guide
- Back to your site: return visitors to your homepage or the page they came from
